Bermain di tempat sendiri, Chelsea score dulu. Mereka dahului dengan 2-0 pada half time. Man Utd kembali dengan jaringan Fabio, goal jarak jauh. Manchester United will look to wrap up their second trophy in less than a month as the reigning UEFA Champions League holders take on UEFA Cup holders Zenit St. Petersburg in the UEFA Super Cup on Friday at Stade Louis II in Monaco.

Last year, European champ AC Milan took home their fifth Super Cup crown - and a permanent trophy - by defeating UEFA Cup champ Sevilla 3-1.

Manchester United are making their third appearance in the UEFA Super Cup, with their previous two appearances coming in 1991 and 1999. In the 1991 edition, they defeated European Cup winners Red Star Belgrade 1-0, with only the first leg of what was then a two-legged competition being played due to the political issues going on in Yugoslavia at the time. Eight years later, fresh off of their treble success, they were on the opposite end of the same scoreline against UEFA Cup winners Lazio, thanks to a 35th minute strike by Marcelo Salas.

Manchester United won their 2nd game to record the first win. It was good  match and a lot of interesting passing game happened yesterday. SAF is so predictable, I knew he would play O’shea in DMF, but Anderson was a surprise (and not a good one, as it was evident from his performance that he wasn’t a 100%). The rest of the formation was expected and I actually now understand SAF reason for playin O’Shea; because Evra and Brown were expected to bombard up and down the wings(which they did excellently) and O’Shea was to provide extra cover for Rio and Vidic. He did that well, however, O’Shea was less creative in the midlefield part. Hopefully, when we get our wingers back, Evra and Brown can cool it, then we can use a more creative/attack minded CMF. Daripada 20 calon, 17 pemain yang tampil dalam kempen Liga Juara-Juara musim lalu merupakan pemain yang beraksi dengan empat kelab gergasi Liga Perdana England.

Juara kempen Liga Juara-Juara 2007/2008, Manchester United akan diwakili bintangnya, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Edwin van der Sar, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic serta Paul Scholes.

Game ke-2 Red Devil merupakan game penting. Man Utd mesti menang untuk memulihkan kembali keyakinan pemain. Saya yakin Man Utd akan menang. Man Utd akan lebih kuat kali ini dengan Tevez kembali beraksi dan Rooney semakin cergas. Campbell akan kembali ke bangku simpanan dan kembar Da Silva mungkin akan bermain lagi berikutan aksi menarik melawan Newcastle.

Mikael Silvestre telah pindah ke Arsenal semalam dengan undisclosed fee. So, secara rasminya Silves jadi Gone-ners. Dia merupaka pemain ke dua selepas Chris Eagles yang telah dijual kepada kelab Burnley. Silvestre akan pakai jersey no.18 dekat Arsenal nanti. Pengalaman EPL dan seorang warga France dikatakan punca utama Silves menjadi pilihan Wenger.
