The 32 participating teams in 2010 World cup already made they 23-man squad even before arriving in South africa.Some players had injured themselves in they training camp in South Africa and some high profile players injured themselves when playing for they clubs at end of the season.

The former national captain that will be become the first England player to   appear in four World Cups.However,he had been struck with injury that could end his international career.The injury hitted him when Beckham forcing himself to make into Fabio’s 23-man squad with playing for AC Milan.Beckham broke down with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

2.Rio Ferdinand  ( England,Knee )

A player that going captain his country for the first time in World Cup.Although he arrived in South Africa with a high hope to lift the cup,he injured himself after clashing with team-mate Emile Heskey in training.

3.Michael Ballack  ( Germany,Ankle )

Ballack was injured when he was playing his club’s last game of the season in FA Cup Final against Portsmouth.A harsh tackle from Kevin Prince-Boateng ruled Michael Ballack out of 2010 World Cup.

4.Michael Essien  ( Ghana,knee )

A player that out from action for a long time.He didn’t played for his club,Chelsea,since Disember.A major blow for Ghana.

5.Nani ( Portugal,collar bone )

A Man Utd player who going to sharpen his partnership with ex-Man Utd player,Cristiano Ronaldo,at the attacking line for Portugal.Nani damaged his collar bone during training and was ruled out of the World Cup.

6.John Obi Mikel  ( Nigeria,knee )

An important player for Nigeria squad but ruled himself out for the World Cup because of knee injury and doesn’t want risk his knee.

7.Didier Drogba  ( Ivory Coast,broken arm )

Drawed with ” Group of Death ” with Brazil,Portugal and North Korea.Sven Goran-Eriksson will be hoping Drogba to recover in time for the first game.He broke his arm when playing warm up match against Japan.

8.Arjen Robben  ( Holland,hamstring )

A player that showed his class in the Champions League tournament and is Holland’s important player.He suffered a hamstring torn when whipping Hungary 6-1 in friendly match.Definitely a major blow for the Oranje.
