Carling Cup matches usually is a  match to give chances for players to show theirs talent with Man Utd.On Wednesday,Man Utd played against Scunthorpe in Carling Cup.With manager Sir Alex Ferguson absent,the lads played a good match against the division oppenents.Sir Alex Ferguson was in Spain to watch Valencia playing because the Red Devils is going to face them in Champions League next week.

Although with a goal down as early as on 19th minute with a stunning goal Man Utd didn’t give up.Three minutes later,Darron Gibson scored a beautiful equalising goal.On the 35th minute,defender Chris Smalling scored the second with a near post tap-in.

The third goal came on 48th minute from Michael Owen with a one by one goal.

Korean Park Ji-Sung scored the fourth goal after a corner was headed away and the ball was his to strike.

Michael Owen once again was in the score sheet after scoring the fifth goal after Park’s shot was tipped by goalkeeper and Owen tapped that in.This match also saw Man Utd new striker,Bebe made his debut by replacing Park.

Man Utd next face Bolton in BPL.
