Rooney made Man City silent after he scored a wonderful bicycle kick goal to give Man Utd a 2-1 win.This mean that Man City are now eight points behind Man Utd.

Man Utd took the lead five minutes before the interval when Wayne Rooney just got in front of Joleon Lescott to reach Edwin van der Sar’s long punt downfield and helped the ball on to Ryan Giggs.

Ryan Giggs wasted no time in pushing the ball on to Nani, whose first touch took him away from Pablo Zabaleta allowing him to race forwards and beat Joe Hart with a clinical finish.It was Nani’s 10th goals of the season.

Man city made two substitutions by brought on  Edin Dzeko and Shaun Wright Phillips.The two immidiately made huge different when Edin Dzeko’s shot from Shaun Wright-Phillips’ cross was going well wide of the goal when it struck David Silva on the back, the deflection leaving Edwin van der Sar totally helpless.
