First Silverware For The Red Devils
Man Utd won they first silverware of the season when they beat in-form Aston vVlla 2-1 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.Super sub WayNe Rooney scored the winning goal and also his 28th of the season.
The game started badly for the Red Devils as Aston Villa was rewarded a penalty kick after Nemanja Vidic missed time his tackle on Gabriel Agbonlahor.James Milner kept his temper and scored the goal.
Aston villa’s lead just lasted for eight when England international Michael Owen scored the equaliser for Man Utd after mistake from Richard Dunne.Unfortunely Owen had to be subtituted after injuring himself on 41th minute.He was replaced by Rooney.
Rooney scored the winning goal on the 74th minute with a header after a cross from winger Antonio Valencia.
After a few minute,Rooney had the chance to score second goal for him but he only hit the wood-work with a header.Antonio Valencia was the STAR MAN in that game.
Man Utd retain they Carling Cup title when they win it last season.
