Wayne Rooney is certain to lead the line again for the visitors and he is a man bang in form following his blistering hat-trick in Saturday’s thrilling comeback against West Ham.

Ferguson has a huge decision to make at the heart of United’s defence with Rio Ferdinand in contention to break up the Nemanja Vidic and Chris Smalling combination.

Ferdinand has barely featured for the past two months due to injury and the Scottish tactician needs to decide whether to go with experience or stick with the impressive Smalling.

Nani was utilised off the bench at Upton Park and he is sure to start at Stamford Bridge, while defender Rafael is available after recovering from a hamstring strain and Jonny Evans is available despite his three-match domestic suspension.

West Ham United 2 – 4 Manchester United

Wayne Rooney scored a dramatic hat-trick as Manchester United produced another sensational late comeback to beat West Ham United and edge closer to the Barclays Premier League title.

Noble sent Tomasz Kuszczak – in for the injured Edwin van der Sar – the wrong way and Upton Park erupted, but West Ham were immediately on the back foot again, giving United far too much time and space out wide.

A desperate clearance from Manuel da Costa denied Giggs but the Hammers settled and United pressed the self-destruct button again in the 24th minute.

Cole teased Vidic on the edge of the box and the Serbian took the bait, tripping the forward for an obvious foul.It was tight as to whether the offence took place outside the box but Mason had no doubt and Noble blasted penalty number two into the roof of the net.

But the leaders were rewarded for going for broke in the second half, Rooney starting the fightback with just 25 minutes remaining, completing his 14-minute treble from the spot before substitute Javier Hernandez sealed the points.

Manchester Uniter 1 – 0 Bolton

Posted on March 22nd, 2011 by by rio

Dimitar Berbatov struck three minutes from time to give 10-man Manchester United a precious Barclays Premier League win over Bolton Wanderers.

The hosts were already labouring badly when Jonny Evans was sent off for a reckless second-half challenge on Stuart Holden.

But United made light of the handicap and after Matthew Taylor had failed to take a glorious chance for the visitors, Berbatov pounced, netting his 21st goal of the season after the normally reliable Jussi Jaaskelainen had failed to hold Nani’s long-range effort.

Fabrice Muamba revelled in the space afforded to him by a United midfield too light on physical contact and with Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander getting the better of Evans and Chris Smalling the hosts creaked badly.

Edwin van der Sar got his positioning just right to ensure Martin Petrov’s curling free-kick did not find the net, Daniel Sturridge failed to make the most of a half-chance and Elmander fired a thunderbolt straight at Patrice Evra.

There was over half an hour on the clock when the hosts carved out a decent chance, Antonio Valencia, on his first start since September, rolled a pass to Wayney Rooney.

Man Utd next will have 2 weeks of off due to 2012 Euro Qualifying matches.

Javier Hernandez (the little pie) scored 16 goals this season. Can u believe this? The 15th and 16th goals came on Wednesday when the Red Devils won against Marseille and qualified to Quarter-final of Champons League. The two goals enough for Man Utd to beat them 2-1 on agregat.

United got off to a flying start with an opening goal from the Mexican in the fifth minute.Giggs finds Rooney from the left flank with a short pass. The striker played the ball to the far post with Hernandez tapping it in.

United maintained the momentum and O’Shea picked out Nani but he dragged his effort wide of the post.Marseille should have equalised when Diawara got on the end of a cross from Taye Taiwo but from six yards out and unmarked he somehow contrived to head wide.

Hernandez extended United’s lead in the 76th minute with another clinical finish for his fifth goal in five games.Giggs started the move by releasing Valencia and he in turn whipped the ball across to Hernandez, who made no mistake.

But Marseille responded and Brown headed into his own net in the 82nd minute under fierce pressure from Heinze.

Man Utd could face a strong opponent in quarter-final stage.

Liverpool 3 – 1 Man Utd

Posted on March 8th, 2011 by by rio

Man Utd suffered their third lose of the season after heavily thrashed by Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield.Man Utd will also miss the service of Nani after he was ruled out of three matches.Nani suffered a horrible injury on his shin after a robust challenge from Carragher.

Man Utd went down on 34th minute when Luis Suarez turned into the box and beating Rafael, Carrick and Brown before shooting from the tightest of angles.

It was going in, but Kuyt slammed home from a yard, rather spoiling what would have been a sensational solo goal – not that anyone was worrying about that.

Nani was to blame for Liverpool’s second goal when his back header found Kuyt and scored the goal.

the third goal came on 65th minute when Suarez’s free-kick was spilled by the veteran Dutch No 1 and compatriot Kuyt followed up to bag his first Reds hat-trick – the three goals coming from a combined range of seven yards.\

Javier Hernandez, grabbed a consolation injury-time goal, heading in a cross from Ryan Giggs, who was setting a United record for the most League appearances – 607 – eclipsing Sir Bobby Charlton.
